Melia Innside Hotel – Benidorm

Melia Innside Hotel

My wife and I, with a little trepidation after some reviews on Benidorm decided to book 10 days in the Costa Blanca Innside hotel, situated on the front of Llavante Beach.

On arrival after catching an early flight and arriving at the hotel at 10.30 am we had the expected wait to be able to get into our room, but that is no issue as the extremely helpful reception staff took our cases and gave us our room key/ guest card so we could relax in the bar / pool area whilst the room was got ready.

We were immediately impressed with the room, not only the layout but the views from our sea view room on the 5th floor was absolutely breath taking, fully air condition and very well insulated so very little outside noise gets in when your balcony door is shut.

Our accommodation was on a B&B basis, so we can only judge the catering by breakfast dishes, but if this was the standard of all meals then you will have not made a bad choice in whichever boarding option you select.

Breakfast with starts at 07.30 for this that likes an early start to the day and runs till 11.30, and there is something for every taste ranging from continental, fresh fruit to a full English.

The food was hot where it was meant to be, tasted great and was well presented, the dining room also overlooked the beach so was a brilliant place to relax and just watch the scenery.

The location of the hotel is closer to the old town other than the party end of the strip and is ideal for those that want a more relaxed holiday. I had read before coming about all the stag and hen doo shenanigans, and although you will still witness some strange goings on, they gave us quite a few giggles.

Very minor niggles – The room is not equipped with a kettle and brew kit as standard, although I believe you can request one from reception. I don’t know if there is a charge for that as we were already prepared and brought our own travel kettle, teabags and coffee sachets.

Also the pool area is relatively small for the size of the hotel (There is the beach 50 feet away) so there is always a scramble for pool side beds at 10 am when it opens. ( This can be funny to watch in itself)

Overall. Great hotel in a nice location.
