Les Dunes Suites – Benidorm

Les Dunes Suites.

90% of people who stay in Les Dunes Suites will choose it because of the position it holds on to the sea front, Levante Beach.

Suites is a fashionable name for apartments in Spain to give it a posh ring, these self-catering apartments are fitted out to a very good standard.

The views from here are fantastic and one can enjoy a bright sunrise and sunset although slightly cover by land, but still enjoyable.

The furniture of the apartment is semi modern and very comfortable for a one (separate) bedroom apartment and accompanied by a large sofa which makes a third person bed.

Kitchen

A very small kitchenette with dining table all adequate for preparing meals on a 3-ring electric cooker.

Cooking Utensils were plentiful and had everything you would ever need from cutlery to pots and pans, toasters, electric kettle, iron and ironing board, microwave, coffee machine etc etc.

There is full central heating although some of the radiators were not working but the Air condition system set to heat made it ok and very comfy, winter nights in January can be very cold.

Nice bathroom with powerful water shower and towels which are changed every 4 days, and all fitted out with hairdryer and heated towel rail.

Bad Points.

No washing machine, but there is an expensive wash service available via reception.

No UK tv available… 54 years ago we landed a man on the moon, but somehow Spain’s hotels cannot arrange English TV channels on their systems.

Needs the old Strong Box changing for a modern laptop friendly one. (They can afford it, charging €1.50. a night.) The actual keys to this old one is like carrying the tower of London’s around with you.

Restaurant

The Restaurant Food was very poor, every dish served with ‘tinned’ Carrots and frozen Chips.
I had two different steaks, both were incorrectly cooked and not what was requested, tough as shoe leather….
