Cimbel Hotel
It’s obvious when you first see the Cimbel Hotel that it has one of the best spots on the Levante Beach front, access to the entrance by car or taxi is easy and there is underground parking (Not sure if one must pay extra for this).
Twelve months since our last visit and on entering the hotel nothing has really changed, still spick and span with lots of bright sunlight through the glass frontage overlooking the sea.
The reception staff are instantly attending to you with their usual nice welcome and very professional service, this is a great team here. Cristina in reception gave us a nice deal and with a small upgrade from Chara we were in.
The accommodation prices in this hotel varies not only on occupation amount but also mostly on the view from the room.
Obviously, the sea view is something special. here we if you’re higher up you don’t get disturbed by the council cleaning the beach with tractors every night.
I like the sound of the sea but at night trying to sleep can take some getting used to, the easy answer is don’t sleep with the windows open.
The cheapest rooms are at the back of the hotel with no balconies and are reasonably priced, this enables them to compete with other hotels on prices through the internet. There is also the side view which in a nutshell, you can see a bit of the sea, these are all great quality with well furnished rooms.
Failities
The bathrooms are very modern with wide dual sinks in one, separate rain shower unit with lots of hot water and good pressure, not sure about any rooms with a bath but they probably offer these in their luxury suites.
We never used the bar this time it was so quiet also Pedro a superb barman had retired since our last visit, all the same this area is a great space (Still too bright) and can imagine it in the summer season being very busy.
Bed & Breakfast was the cheapest offer (Room Only not possible here) other options available are full or half board. They also allow you to go half board but switch the evening for lunch if required which is a great idea.
The food was adequate although not our cup of tea but plentiful, this is a 4-star hotel a superb place with elegant everything then when you go to dine in the restaurant its like going into the school canteen, no finesse.
All in all, this is a fantastic hotel in the perfect position offering high quality rooms and service.
Still No USB Sockets next to the bed.
