El Raset Hotel
Travelled through Denia today and every time I do I discover a little bit more of its charm.
Stayed one night in a hotel overlooking the Marina which also serves as a Ferry Boat connection to the Balearic Islands but also a busy little fishing village.
The El Raset Hotel is a standalone building on the front with easy access from the road.
There was a very warm welcome from the reception staff situated in a small but modern area of the entrance with nice low lighting, in fact you could be checking into a nightclub.
The reception is slightly separated from a small Cafeteria dining area, no staff here just help yourself to coffee and treats which is gratis.
This is also where you serve yourself to a continental breakfast included in the price of your room, everything was well presented and very fresh, coffee comes from an automatic machine and tasted like the real thing.
If arriving in the evening remember only breakfast served here.
Apparently, the owners here are well connected owning various restaurants in the town which includes a nightclub on the Marina, depending how late you arrive there is always somewhere open.
The room was well furnished and modern with a compact fully equipped bathroom.
The wall mounted TV was on the blink and everything was just a whitewash with sound, not a problem because this was a one night stopover.
Great views across the Marina here and I am sure this hotel does great business catching the ferries to and from the Balearics.
Very clean and well maintained with a professional team that made you feel very welcome, and the young receptionist made it all a nice laid back atmosphere.
Caught the early bus back to Benidorm (06.30.am – non-stop €7.20. Cash Only) make sure you get the fast buses (45 mins) the others take hours. Check out and book a bus here
Nice hotel and a perfect location for visiting the lovely Denia town.
