Public transport surge during August solar eclipse

Ibiza’s bus network recorded 42,920 passengers in one day, a 12% increase over previous August records. The busiest line: T5 (Santa Eulària ↔ Sant Antoni).

Vehicle limits for summer 2026

From 1 June to 30 September, Ibiza applies a daily cap on vehicles entering the island — up to 18,918 vehicles/day. This affects rental car availability and requires pre authorization for visitors bringing their own vehicle.
Alcohol regulations tightened
Ibiza continues enforcing strict rules introduced in 2024:
No overnight alcohol sales in shops
Restrictions on party boats

Tourist caps under discussion
