EasyJet gearing up for busiest ever Easter

It expects to fly up to 4.2 million customers over the upcoming Easter holidays.

The airline will be operating nearly 10,000 more seats over the bank holiday weekend compared to last year.

The holiday rush is set to peak on Good Friday, 18 April, when up to 262,000 customers are expected to take more than 1,800 flights.

In the UK alone, it expects to carry up to 145,000 customers from easyJet’s 21 UK airports on 1,101 flights.

EasyJet holidays will see its busiest Easter yet with Dalaman, Majorca, and Tenerife leading the way for sunshine getaways.

Also, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris for Disneyland breaks are the most popular city break destinations.

Further afield, Enfidha in Tunisia, Marrakesh in Morocco and Tenerife in Spain are among the top spots for guaranteed sunshine.

In time for Easter, the airline just opened its 10th UK base at London Southend.

It is offering up to 122 flights a week from London Southend including services to Antalya, Pisa, Dalaman, and Tenerife.

EasyJet flights are now operating on its first Sub-Saharan route, to Sal in Cape Verde from London Gatwick, and Tbilisi, Georgia from London Luton.
