Eastern Airways in Administration

Eastern Airways Grounds All Flights as Airline Faces Collapse

Eastern Airways has scrapped all flights and warned passengers not to travel to airports as the regional carrier teeters on the brink of collapse.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed that no services will operate and urged customers to check its website for the latest updates. The airline has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators at the insolvency court, signalling that its future is in serious jeopardy.

Based in Humberside, Eastern Airways operated domestic routes connecting Scotland, London, Newquay, and Teesside. The abrupt grounding has left many passengers stranded and prompted travel operators to step in with emergency support.

Several rail companies have offered free travel for the next two days to affected customers and Eastern Airways staff. Meanwhile, regional rival Loganair has introduced special “rescue fares” to help stranded passengers reach their destinations.
