London City Airport – Voted Number 1
London City Airport has been voted the Best Airport in the UK in the Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards 2025, reaffirming its reputation for speed, accessibility, and comfort — all just minutes from central London.
As the closest airport for more than half of all Londoners, journeys from the front door to the departure gate can take as little as 10 minutes. More than two-thirds of passengers use the DLR and other public transport links, underscoring the airport’s strong sustainability credentials.
“Over the past few years, we have increasingly become a popular airport for leisure travellers, and we’re taking steps to expand our routes and destinations,” said a spokesperson for London City Airport.
London City serves over 30 destinations across the UK and Europe, including leisure favourites such as Ibiza, Palma, and Sardinia. Working closely with airline partners, the airport continues to broaden its network — with British Airways set to launch a new regular service to Madrid from December.
The airport’s recently upgraded terminal features 30% more seating, a selection of premium dining and retail options, and a streamlined security process that enhances the passenger experience. London City is also consistently recognised as London’s most punctual airport.
This latest accolade follows two recent honours, with The Daily Telegraph and Which? both naming London City as London’s Best Airport.
