More Holiday Flights to Tenerife

Jet2 has added additional flights and holidays to Tenerife from five UK bases, as the Spanish government relaxes its vaccine requirement for British teenagers.

It now allows them to enter the country with a negative PCR test.

With Spain lifting its travel restrictions for 12-17 year olds, Jet2 has responded with additional services from East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow and Manchester Airports from 25 February to 23 May.

The additional flights represent more than 7,000 extra seats on sale.

After Spain scrapped vaccination certification rules for 12-17 year olds, Jet2 says demand has surged for the Canary Islands, with Tenerife proving to be amongst the most popular sun destinations for this winter, Easter and summer.

East Midlands is introducing an additional Sunday service to Tenerife from 6 to 27 March, and Glasgow will have a third Friday flight added from 25 February to 8 April.

An extra Sunday service is added from Leeds Bradford to Tenerife from 6 March to 17 April.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “With Spain scrapping vaccination certification rules for 12-17 year olds and international travel starting to return, families are really jumping at the chance to enjoy a much-needed holiday in Tenerife, and we have seen an increase in bookings.”

“Our winter sun and summer sun programmes are looking busy across the board, with Tenerife in particular proving to be an extremely popular.”
