One month after announcing the launch from Bournemouth Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays say they have witnessed an immediate response to their 12th UK airport base as ‘truly phenomenal’.
The companies have put 16 Bournemouth flight routes and package holidays on sale across Europe, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean for summer 2025.
There has been ‘strong and sustained demand’ since going on sale.
The top five performing destinations from Bournemouth Airport are Antalya, Tenerife, Dalaman, Majorca and Rhodes.
During their first summer of operations Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate up to 27 weekly Bournemouth flights, including multiple weekly flights to popular destinations in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Turkey and Greece and to Mainland Spain, Portugal and Madeira.
Two destinations, Fuerteventura and Madeira are exclusive from Bournemouth Airport.
The inaugural Bournemouth flight will depart to Tenerife on 1 April 2025.
Two Jet2 aircraft will be based at the airport during summer 2025.
Jet2’s upcoming launch at Bournemouth Airport has also resulted in more than 100 new jobs being created initially.
There are positions available across flight deck, cabin crew, engineering, and ground operations.
